  • Today’s prayer, June 17, 2025

Dear Merciful and Sovereign God, amidst the rising fear, sorrow, and shadow of war, we turn to You—our refuge, hope, and guide.

As violence escalates and tensions strain diplomacy, we grieve for the lives lost and those now living in fear. We hold in our hearts the 140 souls reported killed in Gaza and the countless more grieving, wounded, or displaced. Wrap them in Your comfort, Lord. Let the suffering not be overlooked nor the humanity of each life forgotten amidst the haze of retaliation.

As leaders weigh decisions that carry irreversible consequences, we ask for clarity and restraint. May pride not overshadow wisdom, and may the pursuit of peace not be abandoned in favor of power. Where voices cry out for war, raise up voices for healing. Where fear drives action, may compassion steady the hand.

We pray for the people of Iran, Israel, Gaza, and every place caught in the path of uncertainty. Protect the innocent, shield the vulnerable, and stir the hearts of those who can change the course toward something more just, more merciful.

Above all, may peace prevail—in policy and protest, in strategy and surrender, in the hearts of those with influence, and in the hearts of those simply hoping to survive another day. Amen 🙏

How may I pray for you? 💕✌️🙏

  • Today’s Challenge, June 17,2025

Hey friend, let’s take a look at Ephesians 2:10. Have you been thinking about a project you’ve been putting off because you don’t think it’s worth your time? Or maybe you’ve been focusing on doing only the things you enjoy? 💕✌️🙏

  • Today’s Prayer, June 17, 2025

Dear Merciful Creator, in the face of global uncertainty, we humbly seek Your guidance. Amidst escalating conflicts and nation-state clashes, we fervently pray for wisdom to triumph over aggression, for leaders to prioritize understanding over dominance, and for the innocent caught in the crossfire to find refuge and safety.

Where violence lurks in the shadows, we implore You to provide protection for communities, to discernment in those entrusted to safeguard lives, and to healing for hearts shattered by fear.

For those unjustly detained, silenced, or marginalized, we extend our prayers for justice to be served, for courage to endure, and for compassion to move those in positions of power to act with integrity.

For the mother whose life has been tragically cut short, yet whose child now valiantly fights for existence, we offer comfort to her family, strength in the faint heartbeat that still pulses, and clarity in laws that uphold life and dignity.

And in moments of celebration—for artists who inspire, for voices that uplift, and for music and film that bring solace even amidst sorrow—we express our gratitude for the enduring beauty, the stories that remind us of our shared humanity, and the capacity of art and cinema to evoke joy even in the face of adversity.

Above all, we fervently pray for peace. May it transcend the clamor of war, mend the divisions that divide us, and find a place in every heart. Amen 🙏

How may I pray for you? 💕✌️🙏

  • Today’s Challenge, June 16, 2025

Hey friend! Today’s challenge is to take a look at Ephesians 2:10. It’s a powerful verse that talks about how we’re all created in the image of God. It’s important to remember that we’re all equally valuable and worthy of God’s love. So, take a moment to think about whether you think of yourself as highly as God thinks of you. If not, take a moment to think about why you might feel that way. 💕✌️🙏

  • Today’s Prayer, June 16,2025

Dear Merciful and Sovereign God, in the face of global conflict, division, and uncertainty, we humbly seek Your wisdom, healing, and peace.

Amidst escalating wars and leaders deliberating over violence and retaliation, we implore restraint. May paths toward reconciliation emerge, and those in power prioritize resolution with justice over destruction. Protect the innocent caught between forces beyond their control, and let mercy prevail over aggression.

For lawmakers and nations navigating governance and unity, may wisdom guide their decisions. Let voices advocating for peace and accountability be heard, and may leaders strive to build bridges rather than deepen divides. Strengthen those upholding justice, and may integrity shape the future of diplomacy.

We mourn for lives lost in violence and communities shaken by tragedy. In Minnesota, where sorrow lingers, bring comfort to those in mourning and justice to those seeking resolution. May healing reach the wounded, and may love triumph over fear.

For those forced into perilous journeys in search of safety, we request protection. Where desperation drives risk, and borders hold uncertainty, may compassion guide policies, and may dignity never be abandoned.

As history shifts and leadership evolves, we express gratitude for progress. May barriers to opportunity continue to be broken, and may leaders rise with wisdom, integrity, and courage to shape a future rooted in justice and inclusion.

Above all, may peace prevail—not only in nations and courts, but also in homes, communities, and hearts yearning for refuge and renewal. May love guide us, and may wisdom lead us forward. Amen 🙏

How may I pray for you? 💕✌️🙏

  • Today’s Prayer, June 15, 2025

Dear Gracious and Sovereign God, in a world beset by conflict, grief, and uncertainty, we humbly seek Your wisdom, healing, and peace.

Where nations engage in violence, tensions escalate, and lives are lost in battles beyond their control, we implore You for mercy. May wisdom guide those in positions of power, enabling the emergence of paths of reconciliation. Comfort the wounded, provide shelter for the grieving, and restore peace where destruction seeks to reign.

For leaders deliberating war and restraint, for those navigating decisions that determine the fate of many, may discernment and justice prevail. May hesitation lead to thoughtful resolutions, and may all choices be guided by a profound respect for human life.

In Bat Yam, where dust persists and sorrow grips the hearts of families searching for loved ones, may strength be bestowed upon those who labor in rescue efforts. May hope endure amidst overwhelming grief.

Where violence has extinguished peace—whether in Minnesota or beyond—may justice be swift, and may safety be restored to communities shaken by fear. Let love triumph over hatred, and may healing come to those who mourn.

For voices raised in protest, for those challenging systems and decisions that shape the future, may truth lead the way. Let discourse be met with understanding rather than division, and may justice be sought with integrity.

In homes, temples, and communities where funerals are held for those lost in tragedy, may comfort endure. Let sorrow be met with love, and may the departed be honored with remembrance and grace.

For the young souls reimagining their futures, uncertain of the paths they once envisioned, grant resilience. May hope endure, and may opportunities arise despite the obstacles placed before them.

Above all, may peace prevail—not merely in policies and nations, but also in hearts, homes, and the manner in which we choose to interact with one another. May love serve as our guiding light, and may wisdom shape our path forward. Amen 🙏

How may I pray for you? 💕✌️🙏

  • Prayer for Worship and Community, June 15, 2025

Dear Gracious and Ever-Present God, we come before You with open hearts, grateful for the sacred spaces where we gather in Your name. From meetinghouses to chapels, temples to mosques, we lift up every place of worship this week, asking for Your presence to fill each gathering with wisdom, love, and peace.

As voices rise in hymns at 10:00 am at Champaign-Urbana Friends Society, may our melodies carry forth joy and devotion, uniting all in praise. As Friends enter into silent worship at 10:30 am, may Your Spirit guide each heart, bringing light to those who share spoken ministry and strengthening the bond of community among those gathered in person and on Zoom.

At 11:30 am, may introductions and announcements remind us of the many hands and hearts that contribute to the life of each faith community. Though First Day School pauses for the summer, we lift our children in the Light, praying for their continued growth and learning, wherever they may be.

May our time of fellowship after worship be rich with kindness and renewal. As Friends gather at noon for Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business, bless each discussion with discernment and integrity. May all who attend, whether seasoned members or newcomers, feel valued and heard, knowing that their presence strengthens the community.

Beyond these meetings, Lord, we ask that all places of worship reflect Your grace throughout the week. May faith communities embrace unity over division, compassion over judgment, and purpose over uncertainty. Let us shine brightly as beacons of peace and understanding in a world that longs for hope.

In Your holy name, we pray, Amen 💕✌️🙏
