Dear Gracious and Ever-Present God,
We come before You with hearts open and expectant, ready to receive the fullness of Your love as we gather in worship, fellowship, and reflection.
We lift up all churches and meeting houses—those near and far, meeting in sanctuaries, homes, and quiet spaces. May Your Spirit flow freely, uniting us in purpose, deepening our faith, and reminding us that wherever two or more are gathered in Your name, You are there among us.
At the Champaign-Urbana Meeting House, as we gather in the commons area to sing hymns, let our voices unite as a chorus of gratitude, proclaiming Your goodness and grace. As the worship commences, may the silence be permeated by Your presence, guiding each spoken ministry to resonate with hearts, uplift souls, and fortify those who seek Your wisdom. Whether in person or remotely through Zoom, may we be united as one body in Christ.
We lift up our children, both the younger ones gathering in their own class and the older ones who will not meet this Sunday. May they walk in Your light, finding joy and understanding in their journey of faith. Surround them with protection, nurture their hearts with Your truth, and bless them with the wisdom to carry Your love into the world.
On this first Sunday of the month, as we gather for Potluck Sunday, may every meal shared be a reflection of the abundance found in You. May laughter, conversation, and fellowship remind us that community is a gift—one we cherish, nourish, and extend to all, regardless of what we bring to the table.
As we step into the week ahead, let unity be our foundation and purpose our guide. May our lives shine with the radiance of Your love, overflowing with grace, kindness, and peace. Wherever we go, may we be instruments of Your mercy, reflecting the light that no darkness can overcome.
Let peace prevail. Let love abound. Let Your Spirit move freely among us.
In Your holy name, Amen 💕✌️🙏
