Dear Gracious and Loving Creator, as we gather in places of worship across the world, we lift our hearts to You in gratitude and reflection. May each sacred space—whether grand or humble, filled with voices or embraced in silence—be touched by Your presence. May all who come seeking comfort, wisdom, and renewal find themselves embraced by Your love.
We hold in prayer the Champaign-Urbana Society of Friends and their Meeting for Worship this Sunday. May the hymns sung in the commons area be filled with joy, the silence in the meeting room be rich with Your Spirit, and the spoken ministry bring light and truth to all who listen. Bless the hands and hearts that prepare refreshments and fellowship, and may the Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business be guided by clarity, wisdom, and a shared purpose.
For the children who join in their own sacred time of learning and play, may their laughter be a reminder of Your everlasting joy. May those leading them be filled with patience and kindness, and may their young hearts be nurtured with love and understanding.
