Dear Divine Spirit, as we enter this new week with reverence and expectation, we lift up all places of worship—each sanctuary, meetinghouse, and sacred gathering where hearts turn toward You.
We hold in prayer the coming Sunday at the Champaign-Urbana Society of Friends. May the hymn singing at 10:00 AM fill the commons with joy and harmony, reminding us that voices joined in unity can rise above division. As the formal meeting for worship begins at 10:30 AM, we ask that Your presence fill the silence—not with noise, but with depth. May those gathered in person and through Zoom feel the gentle movement of Your spirit, guiding words shared and reflections received.
Bless the time of introductions and announcements at 11:30 AM—may it be rich in connection, in gratitude, and in open-hearted sharing. And though First Day School rests for the summer, we lift up the children in our midst. May they feel the love of their community even in quieter seasons.
We give thanks for the fellowship to follow—simple refreshments, kind conversations, sacred laughter. May every handshake, every shared story, every smile exchanged carry the presence of peace and the warmth of belonging.
Beyond this meeting, we pray for all worship gatherings this week—of every tradition and denomination. May each space become holy ground, each heart an open sanctuary. Let Your wisdom guide, Your love sustain, and Your peace prevail.
