A Prayer for a World at the Crossroads of Power, Pain, and Possibility, September 3, 2025

Dear God of truth and tenderness, You who see beyond parades and headlines, Beyond courtrooms and city skylines— We come before You with reverence, Carrying the weight of a world in flux, And seeking Your guidance for ourselves, our communities, and all creation.

We lift up the global stage, Where China parades its military might and alliances in defiance, And where Kim Jong Un’s daughter steps into the spotlight, A symbol of succession and strategy. O God, may power not eclipse peace, And may the choreography of nations be guided by wisdom, not fear. Let diplomacy rise above dominance, And may the seeds of cooperation be sown even in hardened soil.

We pray for the people of Florida, As leaders move to end vaccine mandates, Breaking from decades of public health guidance. May discernment prevail over ideology, And may the vulnerable—especially children—be protected with care. Let science and compassion walk hand in hand, And may health never be politicized at the cost of lives.

We cry out with the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse, Who now vow to compile their own list of those complicit. O God, let truth be unveiled and justice be done. May the silenced find voice, And may accountability reach even the highest places. Let healing come not through vengeance, But through courage, transparency, and collective resolve.

We hold close the millions affected by America’s deepening jobs slump, Where opportunity feels distant and dignity is strained. May economic renewal be rooted in equity, And may every worker be seen, valued, and supported. Let creativity and compassion guide our recovery, And may no one be left behind in the rebuilding.

We grieve the loss of Matthew Perry, And the tangled web of addiction, pain, and accountability. As the “Ketamine Queen” pleads guilty, May this moment stir reflection, reform, and mercy. Let healing rise from tragedy, And may those who struggle in silence be met with love, not shame.

We give thanks for the bold vision rising in San Francisco, Where a 1,225-foot tower signals hope for a city’s comeback. May this sign of life be more than steel and glass— May it reflect resilience, renewal, and the human spirit’s capacity to rebuild. Let urban spaces become sanctuaries of creativity, inclusion, and grace.

And in all these things— In every summit and street, In every courtroom and classroom, In every act of courage and every cry for help— We ask:

May peace prevail. May love be our compass, May truth be our foundation, And may grace be the rhythm by which we live. Amen💕✌️🙏
